Thursday nights from 7-9 PM join us for open and honest conversation in a relaxed atmosphere at the Celtic Knot Public House (626 Church Street, Evanston).
Pub Theology is an open and honest conversation with friends (new and old!) about things that matter.
The format is simple. Beer (or a beverage), food, conversation, and God. Everything is up for discussion, no assumptions, no barriers to entry. If you are going to get upset because someone questions something that is important to you, maybe this isn’t for you. But if you think that whatever might be true, ought to be able to stand up to being questioned, maybe it is.
No one is going to make you pray. It isn't bible study or small group Christian ministry. Anyone is welcome to share thoughts about life and faith...anyone.
Pub theology creates a space in which we learn from each other, sharing thoughts, insights, critiques, practices that relate to our spirituality and to our view about the world around us.
(This description of pub theology is based on that of Brian Berghoef, from whom we shamelessly lifted the name, too.)
